PIZZA
INGREDIENTS
SAUCE
1 tablespoon
1 chopped onion
1 can tomato paste
6 cups of water
Half table spoon of sugar preferably white
1 teaspoon salt
An eighth teaspoon of garlic powder
A quarter teaspoon of ground black pepper
Half teaspoon of dried oregano
A quarter teaspoon of chilli powder
DOUGH
1 envelope of active dry yeast
1 cup of warm water
3 cups of all purpose flour
A quarter tablespoon of salt
Method
In a bowl mix flour, salt then stir in the yeast mixture. When it's pulled together knead until smooth and elastic for about 10 minutes. In a lightly oiled bowl put the dough and cover with a damp cloth for about 1 hour to rise or till the next day for it to become more fluffy.
In a saucepan, put oil and saute it till tender. Add tomato paste water, sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic, powder, basil, oregano, chilli powder for 20 minutes.
Divide dough in half and spread onto pizza pans. Cover with some with sauce and desired toppings like beef, chicken, cheese etc
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until the crust is brown.
